
NEW DELHI: Expensive SUVs, for the most part found jumping across over boulevards in urban territories, have shockingly been sent at high-tallness edge posts of the ITBP along the China-India periphery to transport troopers.
Four white-shaded Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs), two Toyota Fortuner and the same number of Ford Endeavor, with a sticker cost of around Rs 25 lakh each, have been sent by the periphery guarding influence at some of its forward zones more than 13,000 feet over the sea level at Burtse and Dungti in the Ladakh part and Menchuka, more than 6,000 feet, in Arunachal Pradesh.
No other periphery guarding force or Army courses of action in forward extents have ever used first class SUVs for troops.
The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) home office here has issued a request that the troopers and officers will use these vehicles only for operational errands to keep their misuse.
ITBP boss general Krishna Chaudhary said while the force has a couple sorts of four-wheelers, fusing those with 4x4 drive office for high-rise driving at its edge territories, SUV stages, which are controlled by diesel-run overpowering commitment engines were required for quick advancement in these uneven districts.
